> Le château actuel est construit pour le comte Baillou de la Brosse par l'architecte Joly-Leterme, de 1850 à 1865. Le domaine est vendu en 1913 à Henri Fricotelle qui fait moderniser le château de 1924 à 1926. L'architecte Claudon conçoit alors un portail monumental, décoré par le sculpteur Voisine. En 1927, Fricotelle fait construire dans le parc une exceptionnelle piscine, inspirée de l'architecture thermale antique et de la colonnade en hémicycle de Hardouin-Mansart à Versailles. Cette piscine est l'oeuvre de l'architecte saumurois Pierre-Jean-Victor Brunel.
