# Château de Launac

Launac, Haute-Garonne, Occitanie

Château de Launac stands in Launac (Haute-Garonne), in the Occitanie region of France. The building is registered as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: Middle Ages, 15th century, 16th century, 17th century). Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.

Some thirty kilometres northwest of Toulouse, the château de Launac preserves the memory of a medieval brick stronghold built by the lords of L'Isle-Jourdain. Dismantled in the 13th century after the Albigensian Crusade and later rebuilt, only its north and west wings remain of what was originally a rectangular structure. Notable features include the 13th-century northeast tower with its ribbed vault, and a west tower still bearing 15th-century geometric painted decoration.

**Practical details not verified yet.** We know this château and where it is, but we have not yet checked its opening hours or prices at the source. We would rather tell you than display something we are unsure of.
