The Château de Labro stands a few kilometres north of Rodez, in Onet-le-Château, along an old droving path that once linked the Aubrac plateau to the Quercy region. Construction began in 1519 for the lord Anthoine Créato, and the building went through several phases of alteration up to the 19th century, combining a Renaissance tower and main wing with later neo-gothic additions. Visitors can see a layered architecture today, with turrets, triangular-pedimented dormers, and original details such as gun loops and chamfered doorways.
