The château de La Volpilhère stands in ruins on a hillock overlooking the Brezons valley, in Saint-Martin-sous-Vigouroux in the Cantal department. A four-storey rectangular tower topped with machicolations can still be seen, along with a residential wing added in the 17th century, two towers and the remains of a double-flight staircase. Owned first by the Gasc family and later by the Greil de La Volpilhère family, the building was wrecked in 1793 by revolutionaries.
