The building has remained in the same family through the female line for more than two centuries, and still shows intact machicolations along with a wall-walk partly altered in the 17th century. Inside, a small deconsecrated chapel preserves rare murals showing a knight being dubbed, saint Michael, saint Christopher and a woman on horseback.
