All that remains on site is a square 12th-century keep, over twenty metres tall and fitted with machicolations, along with the ruins of a seigneurial residence and the outline of the ramparts that once encircled the village. The tower is notable for its rusticated stonework, unusual in this region, and a vaulted cistern still stands a short distance from its base. The place recalls a medieval band of noble guards once tasked with keeping order along this busy trade route.
