L’édifice doit être construit en brique et pierre dorée pour créer un ensemble homogène avec le domaine. Il est dessiné dans un style néo-15e siècle, agrémenté d’éléments néo-Louis XIII, notamment. De nouveaux agrandissements et ajouts interviendront jusqu’à la fin du 19e siècle et au tout début du 20e.
