Since 1977 it has housed a private school, the Puységur school complex, occupying the building and its former grounds once planted with chestnut trees, which gave the estate its name. There is no organised interior visit here, but the site carries a dense history, from a stay by the Duke of Montmorency to its use as a revolutionary prison and nearly four centuries in the hands of a single family.
