The Château de Domblans stands on the banks of the Seille river in the Jura department. Originally built by the lords of Charrin, it was rebuilt in the 15th century by Claude de Vautravers with the approval of the Duke of Burgundy, after damage suffered during the Hundred Years' War. Henri of Navarre, the future Henri IV, reportedly stopped there during the Wars of Religion. Having changed hands several times, the castle later served as a nightclub in the 20th century before becoming a private home again.
