Part of its fame comes from the 'Demoiselles de Courcelles', who in the 18th century hosted Rousseau, Diderot and Voltaire here. The 25-hectare park, with a canal lined by two-century-old plane trees, a French garden, an English garden and a boxwood maze, has been pre-listed as a remarkable garden.
