# Château de Corgebin

Chaumont, Haute-Marne, Grand Est

Château de Corgebin stands in Chaumont (Haute-Marne), in the Grand Est region of France. No visits are on record for this building.

Set apart from the village of Brottes, on the edge of Chaumont, Corgebin Castle stands on the site of a former Templar and later Hospitaller commandery recorded as early as 1187. The building seen today was erected just before the French Revolution by the last commander of the Order of Saint John of Jerusalem, partly built over older cellars. Around it remain traces of a much older past: a Romanesque gable, the sole surviving fragment of the Sainte-Marie-Madeleine chapel, and a tithe barn from the 13th or 14th century with one gable still nearly intact.

**No visits on record.** No opening hours or ticketing found.
