# Château de Chevigny-Saint-Sauveur

Chevigny-Saint-Sauveur, Côte-d'Or, Bourgogne-Franche-Comté

Château de Chevigny-Saint-Sauveur stands in Chevigny-Saint-Sauveur (Côte-d'Or), in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region of France. No visits are on record for this building.

The château de Chevigny-Saint-Sauveur stands on a fortified site first recorded in 1366, when a Dijon burgher held it in fief from the Duke of Burgundy. The present L-shaped, three-storey building replaced earlier medieval structures, traces of which survive on a 17th-century plan showing a bailey, enclosure towers and a keep. During the 17th and 18th centuries, successive owners added a chapel, wood panelling and gardens stretching to the Norges river. Since 1957 the estate has housed the offices of the French adult vocational training agency (AFPA).
