# Château de Broindon

Broindon, Côte-d'Or, Bourgogne-Franche-Comté

Château de Broindon stands in Broindon (Côte-d'Or), in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region of France. The building is listed as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: first half of the 17th century). The building is privately owned and no visits are on record.

The château de Broindon stands at the centre of its village in the Côte-d'Or, a few kilometres from Gevrey-Chambertin. Built mainly in the 17th century for a president of the Dijon Chamber of Accounts, it keeps in its park the chancel of a 12th-century Romanesque chapel, decorated with wall paintings and carved capitals. The property, a typical residence of a Burgundian parliamentary official, survived the centuries with little alteration, including through the Revolution.
