The building itself, raised in 1618 and later reworked, still holds a row of rooms with 17th-century wood panelling, a salon decorated with plaster reliefs depicting La Fontaine's Fables, and a Napoleonic-style interior dating from the 1870s. Since its restoration, it now houses the town library and municipal offices, making it as much a place people pass through as one they come to visit.
