Along the road to Étretat, in the Caux countryside, Bénouville castle shows a façade built of pierre banche, a chalk-based material seldom used in the area at the time. Raised in the last third of the 18th century for a family of Étretat town officials, it still bears a pediment dated 1757, carved with coats of arms and allegorical figures. Inside, a wrought-iron staircase and two decorated salons remain, one of them known as the Moroccan salon.
