# Château de Beauregard

Saint-Avé, Morbihan, Bretagne

Château de Beauregard stands in Saint-Avé (Morbihan), in the Bretagne region of France. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.

Set on a rise east of Saint-Avé, this L-shaped château looks out over countryside stretching toward the Gulf of Morbihan, visible on clear days some twelve kilometres away. The present building dates mainly from the 18th century, raised on the site of an older manor, with substantial alterations added during the 19th century. It is chiefly remembered for an episode of Breton history: the signing here in 1800 of an agreement bringing peace between Chouan royalists and Republican forces.
