The château de Bazoilles stands in Bazoilles-sur-Meuse, in the western Vosges, on the site of a medieval stronghold destroyed in the 15th century. The present building, erected in the 18th century for Louis de Barbarat, was given a reworked main façade in the 19th century by the Drummond de Melfort family, Scottish-descended owners who had their coat of arms carved beneath a monumental pediment. Older outbuildings survive nearby, including a dovecote and an orangery.
