> Le château est typique, par sa simplicité, des constructions nobles de la province de Labourd dont Ustaritz fut la capitale jusqu'en 1789. La façade principale est encadrée par deux pavillons en saillie qui se prolongent à l'est par un bâtiment placé en équerre, reconstruit au 19e siècle, et à l'ouest par les services. Une chapelle a été aménagée au 19e siècle sur les premier et second étages. Un grand escalier central donne accès aux pièces des étages par l'intermédiaire de couloirs circulant bizarrement du côté sud.
