# Château d'Arnay-le-Duc

Arnay-le-Duc, Côte-d'Or, Bourgogne-Franche-Comté

Château d'Arnay-le-Duc stands in Arnay-le-Duc (Côte-d'Or), in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region of France. The building is registered as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: second quarter of the 16th century). Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.

The château d'Arnay-le-Duc, originally the manor of Juilly and later held by the Princes of Condé, stands at the edge of the Morvan and Auxois regions, now surrounded by houses. Its outline is still marked by a round tower with a conical roof and by the polygonal tower known as the Marguerite de Bourgogne tower, topped with an imperial roof. Having passed through several noble families and then serving as a file-making factory, it more recently housed an educational institution before becoming a restaurant. The building cannot be visited inside, but its facades remain visible from the street.
