Set at the confluence of the Benaize and Anglin rivers, the Château d'Aigues-Joignant stands on the site of a former chapel, in the commune of Saint-Hilaire-sur-Benaize in the Indre department. Its rectangular main building, raised by an extra storey and decorated with neo-Renaissance mullioned windows and battlements, is flanked by two round towers dating from at least the 16th century. The larger western tower contains a Gothic hall with ribbed vaulting.
