Located in Castries, in the Hérault department, this aqueduct stretching over six kilometres was built in the late 17th century to supply water to the château's park. Commissioned by René Gaspard de la Croix de Castries and designed by Pierre-Paul Riquet, the engineer behind the Canal du Midi, the project met a request from landscape architect André Le Nôtre. Its most striking section, known as the Grands Arcs, rises about twenty metres near the village centre. A hiking trail follows the aqueduct's course.
